Full Moon Eclipse Reflection
INSIGHT On Trust in the Light of Illumination
At the New Moon, we explored the tension between control and trust.
We named the instinct to grip when life feels uncertain, and we opened to the possibility that trust, though riskier, creates a gateway to connection, creativity, and flow.
Now, as we move into the Full Moon phases, those seeds of intention are revealed in the light of reflection. If we pause now and look back over the last couple of weeks, we can see where we’ve softened and leaned into trust, and equally, where control still provides a feeling of safety and familiarity.
Moonlight does not judge; it simply illuminates.
Control will always try to reassure us, offering short-term relief. Trust, on the other hand, invites us into the unknown. And fear of the unknown is as real a feeling as can be. Trust asks us to live with open hands and an open heart. It is not passivity; it is the willingness to act from a deeper alignment, even when the outcome is uncertain.
The Full Moon acts as a mirror.
In its reflection, can you see where your intention to trust has already taken root? Can you honor the small ways you’ve allowed vulnerability, listened to your inner timing, or said yes to flow instead of fear?
And where the mind still clings, can you meet it with the witness, the steady awareness that sees without judgment?
The INSIGHT perspective on practice is not to eradicate, but to notice, to choose again, and to return to trust as often as we can.
INSIGHT Full Moon Eclipse Contemplation
In INSIGHT sessions over the past two weeks, I’ve been overwhelmed into a state of awe again and again. To witness the human spirit meet fear, doubt, and control with love, and trust with attention, authenticity, and affection is nothing short of miraculous. Especially given our cultural conditioning.
In seeing the continual growth and transformation of so many facing things like illness, repairing dysfunctional relationships, or making sense of things in a world gone mad. Witnessing one person after another turn towards rather than away, one mantra keeps coming to mind: We are all in this together.
INSIGHT Reflection on Trust and Control
What has this light of reflection revealed about the ways I grip and the ways I trust?
Where have I already been carried by life when I dared to loosen control?
What simple act of trust is calling me forward now?
I’d love to hear about any insights or revelations that come about from this practice.
With you on the journey,
Kevin
