New Moon INSIGHT
INSIGHT on Being Held by the Field
Dear Community,
It’s been a while since I’ve written here. While we’ve been gathering each Wednesday on IG for meditation, it feels good to return to this space and reconnect with you more deeply.
For the past nine months, I’ve been in the creative cave, shaping a book proposal that distills the essence of the last two years. Born from the crucible of the cancer journey, this book is a guide for engaging with fear, not as a threat to overcome but as a threshold to cross—a path not away from but into ourselves.
Again and again, the writing brings me back to one essential truth:
At the center of our being is a place only we can meet.
It cannot be filled by applause. Not by approval. Not even by love from others. And when we abandon that place, or give it away in exchange for validation, we suffer.
As the new moon arrives, I offer this as a moment to slow down, root in, and remember.
The Infinite Within the One
The new moon doesn’t arrive with spectacle. It makes itself known in stillness - quiet, rhythmic, and unseen.
It’s not the absence of light. It’s the presence of origin.
Astronomers now estimate there are over 2 trillion galaxies in the observable universe.
Each holds billions of suns.
Each sun with its own family of planets.
Each planet with its own story in orbit.
And here we are…
On one of them.
In one moment.
In one body.
Being, breathing, and becoming.
Pause. Let that land.
This vastness isn’t here to make you feel small. It’s here to remind you:
You belong to something immeasurable.
The same field that shapes stars is breathing through you. The same intelligence that orchestrates galaxies fuels your healing, your becoming, your next small step.
INSIGHT New Moon Contemplation
Find a quiet space.
Place one hand on your heart, the other on your belly.
Let your breath slow.
Ask yourself:
What part of me feels furthest from belonging right now?
What would it feel like to let that part rest in the vastness I come from?
If the same energy that births galaxies is holding me now, what becomes possible?
Let the answers come slowly.
Not as thoughts, but as sensations.
Trust what softens. Trust what arrives.
We are not here to prove our worth. We are here to remember it.
If this stirred anything awake in you, please send any insights my way. I’d love to hear about them.
With love,
Kevin
